Specialty Gas Mixtures

ALYTECH — MIX IT RIGHT

Specialty Gas Mixtures

Certified, on-demand multi-component mixtures for research, QA/QC and process control — without the cylinder jungle. Generate precise, traceable points for GC, FTIR, µGC, gas detectors, moisture analyzers and more.

Quick summary

A single high-grade standard + a diluent + GasMix™ = unlimited multi-point concentrations with minimal added uncertainty, full traceability and far fewer cylinders.

Overview

Analytical methods are comparative — your results are only as reliable as the calibration gas behind them. Traditional multi-point calibration often means maintaining large stocks of cylinders at different concentrations and compositions, which is expensive, slow to procure, and can pose safety constraints.

With GasMix™ dynamic mixers/diluters, labs create traceable, certified calibration points on demand: linearity checks, LOQ/LOD validation, and routine multi-point curves for GC/µGC, FTIR, detectors and moisture analyzers — all from one parent standard and a diluent.

High-concentration standards typically have longer certificate validity. Use GasMix™ to deliver low-level working points at the analyzer with very little added uncertainty, cut gas when idle, and document everything for QA.

Typical Use Cases

Swap stacks of cylinders for automated, certified delivery — tailored to your matrices and standards.

Reduce Cylinder Stock

One analyzer OEM cut inventory from 42 → 12 cylinders by generating CO₂ points from a single standard (100 ppm → 100%). Similar results for CH₄, CO, NO, NO₂, SO₂, N₂O.

On-Demand Multi-Component

Prepare binary to complex blends (4–10+ components) with little added uncertainty — ideal for GC/FTIR model building and detector response studies.

Sampling Bag Transfer

When direct connection isn’t practical (e.g., GC without GSV), collect the dynamic mixture in a Tedlar® bag and inject later.

Online Analyzer Calibration

Feed GC, µGC, FTIR and moisture analyzers with scheduled multi-point programs and analyzer sync. Export reports for QA/ISO documentation.

Why GasMix™ for Specialty Mixtures

Replace multiple low-level cylinders (short validity, long lead times) with one high-grade standard. Generate low-level points on the fly — with negligible added uncertainty and ISO 6145-7-style traceability.

  • Unlimited concentrations from one standard + diluent
  • Multi-point curves, linearity checks, LOQ/LOD
  • Audit trail, certified reporting, export (PDF/CSV/JSON)
  • Auto cut-off saves gas when idle

Benefits at a Glance

  • Fewer cylinders, lower cost & safer storage
  • On-demand points for any range and matrix
  • Traceability aligned with ISO 6145-7
  • Certified outputs with minimal added uncertainty
  • Analyzer sync, sequences, ramps & holds
  • Proof for QA: audit trail + exportable reports

Multi-Point, Fast

Program full ranges in minutes, not weeks of purchasing.

Metrology-Grade

Uncertainty documented for every delivered point.

Scalable

Bench-top, portable or rack; add channels as you grow.

FAQ — Specialty Mixtures

How do you handle very low levels and linearity?
Use a high-grade parent mix (longer validity) and generate low-level points dynamically. GasMix™ sequences create multi-point curves for linearity, LOQ and LOD with full traceability.
Do I still need many cylinders?
Usually not. One parent + diluent covers most ranges — customers often cut inventory by 50–75%, improving safety and cost.
Can I use sampling bags?
Yes. When direct connection isn’t practical, collect mixtures in a suitable bag (e.g., Tedlar®) and inject later.
